string quartet and piano

string quartet and piano will eventually consist of 384 so-called "sounds" for string quartet and nine parts for piano. From these 384 sounds, 64 are chosen for one performance and are arranged by groups of eight into the parts I - VIII. Every performance has the same inner structure but sounds different and is at the same time whole and a part of a bigger whole (which exists as virtually infinite potential).

In addition, there's a possibility of expanding the piece: After Part VIII, the piano starts again with Part I, and the unfolding of the structure into sound begins again. The music can go on as long as you like. It will always be self-similar and never be the same.
